Funkey Kids Public Classes

Our public classes allow parents and caregivers to see and/or participate in their child’s development first hand! Classes are held throughout the day or evening, weekly and on weekends in a variety of environments including local community centers, Funkey Kids venues, dance studios etc.

Integrating physical activity in children’s lives is essential for creating a foundation of movement and activity that they will carry with them throughout the rest of their lives.



1-2 Years

Fun is Key to Physical Literacy at Funkey Kids!

Parents and children alike will enjoy our parent and tot classes packed with movement, music and FUN!

Led by a qualified instructor, this program is a great way for your little one to be introduced to fundamental movement skills in a safe and engaging environment! Stretching, balance, jumping, kicking, catching and throwing are just a few skills children will explore in Funkey Kids classes.

Please note: this is a parent participation program, one parent per child. Children must be walking independently.







2-3 Years

Fun is Key to Physical Literacy at Funkey Kids!

Keep your toddler busy in our active classes with movement, music and FUN!

Led by a qualified instructor, this program is a great way for your active child to learn fundamental movement skills like jumping, balance and stretching. Your child will also be introduced to sport skills like kicking, catching, striking and throwing. Children leave our unique classes feeling confident, happy and energized!

Please note: this is a parent participation program, one parent per child.



3-6 Years

Fun is Key to Physical Literacy at Funkey Kids!

Children will love our energy-packed lessons where the focus is on helping children to develop a wide range of fundamental movement skills. Skills such as running, jumping, balance, throwing and kicking can be applied to all kinds of physical activities!

Our qualified instructors teach children how to move with a unique class that includes stretching, warm-up songs, a gross motor circuit and sport development activities. Equipment changes weekly and each lesson focuses on a different fundamental movement skill.







Funkey Kids Sport – 6 to 12 Years

Our Funkey Sport program gives students the opportunity to practice a new movement/sport skill every week.

Our qualified instructors help children develop fundamental movement skills that they need to be active and play sports.

Children participate in structured lessons with a circuit warm-up focused on developing cardio, agility and core strength; creative and engaging drills then ending each class with a non competitive game or team sport where students use their newly learned skills!
